This dharma talk will introduce you to the Dakini Principle in Tantric (Vajrayana) Buddhism. This dynamic energy is available to us all and is instrumental in transforming obstacles that block our expression of our truest nature. You will have an opportunity to meet the Dakini in a guided mediation. This talk provides a foundation for the retreat that follows on the weekend.
Karla Jackson-Brewer, MS has been a student of Lama Tsultrim Allione for 30 years. She is a Tara Mandala Authorized Teacher, and has traveled with Lama Tsultrim on Pilgrimage to Tibet & Bali. Karla has been practicing Chöd for 29 years, and in October 2012, she received the Chöd Empowerment from His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje.. For the past 4 years she has taught and assisted Lama Tsultrim in offering The Mandala of the 5 Wisdom Dakinis Practice. She is a founder of Sine Qua Non: Allies in Healing, an Integrative Therapy Practice in New York City. She is an adjunct Professor in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department and the Africana Studies Department at Rutgers, The State University.
