DHARMA TALK: INTRODUCTION TO THE FEMININE PRINCIPLE IN VAJRAYANA BUDDHISM
Time & Location
About The Event
This Dharma talk will introduce you to the divine, feminine principle in Vajrayana (Tibetan) Buddhism. Around the 7th century, Tantric practice began to arise in India. Tantra means continuum, referring to a continuity of awareness and luminosity that runs through everything. Tantra allowed Buddhist practice to be more accessible to lay practitioners, not just monastics. In Tantra we are introduced to the feminine principle of wisdom, in the form of the Great Mother. Her expression is evidenced by the goddess Prajna Paramita, Tara and the Dakinis. This talk will provide some history, and the opportunity to experience this principle in meditation. Free or by donation!
